Sinan
AKSU who was born in Ankara in 1980 is originally from Erzincan. Having
attended Ankara Tevfik Ileri Imam Hatip High School, Mr. Aksu graduated from
the Department of History, Gazi University in 2002.
Beginning
his professional career at the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 2003, Mr.
Aksu served as the PM Consultant, executive assistant to the Minister of
Environment and Urbanization and the Minister of Family and Social Policies,
Deputy General Manager of Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports,
Advisor to the Prime Minister and as the General Director of Youth Services as
from February 20, 2014. Appointed as the General Director of GSB Higher Education
Credit and Hostels Institution on March 30, 2015, Mr. Aksu served in this post
until 20.07.2018. Involving in the youth-related projects during his service as
the Head of Credit and Hostels Institution, Mr. Aksu was selected as ‘the
servant bureaucrat of the year’ at in 1st Servant Leadership Summit
organized in 2016. Upon the Presidential Decree published on 20.07.2018, he was
appointed as the Deputy Minister to the Minister of Youth and Sports.
He
was elected as the Member of the Supervisory Council at the Ordinary General
Assembly of Turkish Basketball Federation, which was held in 2016.
Serving
as the chairman of board of trustees and member of executive board at a number
of public-benefit foundations and associations, Mr. Aksu is married with two children.
